When the Air Force brought me to Hampton Roads in 2004, I was stationed at Langley AFB, diving deep into the world of CyberSecurity. Little did I know, this vibrant area would capture my heart, convincing me to stay even after my enlistment ended. Before joining the military, my life revolved around our family barbershop, where I did homework in the cozy back room and celebrated birthdays surrounded by the same charming decor you'll find in the shop today. So, when Misty and I decided to bring our family’s legacy to Hampton Roads, I knew it was the perfect spot for the 5th generation of Castros Barbershop. It’s truly an honor and a joy to share our family style of barbering with the 757 community!

"Castros V Barbershop' is a traditional barbershop in its entirety. Misty Castro has a style that has been passed down for five generations. If that doesn't sell you, have a seat and let me divulge some more. Her work with clippers and a straight razor produce an exquisite masterpiece that will boost your confidence. This is more of an experience than a haircut, hot/cold towel shaves and rose water spritz. But her cuts are only a part of the experience. She is friendly, a conversationalist and a true friend. Exactly how a barbershop was ment to be."

Castro is a phenomenal barber with decades of experience. She carries with her all the pride and expertise you would expect of a 4th generation barber. She is serious about her trade which is what makes her unique and a pleasure to have in the area. I just received my first traditional shave….it was worth every bit of the experience (I have had the same beard for 2 years).
